Who is the Devil, who invented it, and why? What is its role in society?

In Ancient Egypt, existed the god Bes, recognized and honored throughout the Mediterranean, who was not monstrous or frightening, but simply represented earthly pleasures and material enjoyment in harmony with the spiritual life.
