The Law of Attraction: What It Is and How to Apply It

The Law of Attraction is one of the many so-called universal laws and it states that like attracts like, that whatever you think about, in a regular basis, you will bring it about. The idea behind it is that we are the main creators of our own life, of our own reality, based on what we actively think of. So, what you think of consistently will eventually manifest itself in your life.

Many people have used the Law of Attraction (or LOA) or sworn on it as a way of living, with some of them being very famous people, like Walt Disney, William Shakespeare, Henry Ford and even Buddha. As you can see, the Law of Attraction is not something new, but something that has been talked about and “used” for hundreds and even thousands of years.

But even though the LOA is not something new, it was around 2005/2006 that more people in this world were introduced to it, through the release of a docu-movie called The Secret, which was based on Rhonda Byrne’s book of the same name. Both the book and the movie created quite a buzz among millions of people, from literally all walks of life.

How Does the Law of Attraction Work?

In theory, it is a very simple law. Whatever you focus mostly on, it’s what you’ll get back at some point. The thing is, you have to practice it for some time in order for yourself to fully be comfortable with it and actually “live it”. Let me explain.

We humans are so used to think and talk negatively throughout our lives, that most of the time we don’t actually realize what we’re doing. It’s like, because our societies have been created so that we’re too busy with working, paying bills and getting distracted by all sorts of useless things, that we don’t know how to behave differently. Or when some of us do behave differently, most of us might have a hard time understanding why.

And so, because our brain has become so used to think and make us act and live a certain way, whenever something new comes along that “challenges” that very same way of thinking, acting and living we tend to be on the defensive, becoming sceptical and sometimes even cynical, just because it’s something we haven’t done before, something totally opposite to what we’ve always been doing.

Is it something difficult to do? It doesn’t have to be. It all depends on your attitude and your willingness to really want to change your life for the best… for EVER!

Just like a musician needs to practice every day to master an instrument or several; just like a sports person needs to practice their sports every day so as to become better than any other when competing; just like a student nurse needs plenty of practice in order to achieve the goal of becoming a doctor/surgeon, so too you need to practice the Law of Attraction every day in order for you to be comfortable with it and live it as if it’s the most natural thing in the world.

How to use the Law of Attraction on a daily basis

It is recognized that the Law of Attraction requires three steps, in order for it to work perfectly. The steps are as follows:

  1. ASK. Truly know what it is that you want or desire in your life. You have to know exactly what you want, otherwise the Universe won’t give you exactly what you asked. It’s suggested that you be as specific as possible, so as to avoid any “misunderstandings” with the Universe.
  2. BELIEVE. What is the point of asking for what you want, being specific with it, if you don’t believe in what you’re thinking or saying is actually going to happen? Believing is extremely crucial to the whole process of the Law of Attraction, so get rid of any and all doubts you have and just go for it. If you think that what you’ve asked might not happen, that itself will most likely interfere with the result.
  3. RECEIVE. If you ask and you believe, then you must be ready to receive. You must be ready to receive, for what you asked can come at any time and in any form.

The whole process is not any different to when you order something online. You know what you want to purchase and you pay for it (Ask: the stronger is your intention, the more the Universe responds. For more info read: “How to live in 5D consciousness), then you obviously expect for the online store to send what you purchased to you (Believe: just know it is going to happen) and the last step is waiting for your order to arrive (Receive: be open to be blessed from a place of open heart and gratitude).
